Goodness I totally forgot, Thanksgiving was last thursday >< Anyway I don't celebrate Thanksgiving but this year I've had LOADS to thank God for so I shall waste time listing them just so I remember. :D

So in almost random order:
1) I'm thankful that my mum forced me into rgs so I can be who I am, and know who I know today.
2) I'm thankful for my yearmates, who've been with me through these rough four years, seen me cry, laugh and pms and still continued loving me.
3) I'm thankful for redcross, for having taught me discipline, respect, espirit de corps and dignity.
4) I'm thankful for 401, without whom my results would have sunk to the dredges of God-knows-where. (seriously, if 401 hadn't been such a mugger class I would have given up long ago)
5) I'm thankful for my family; my mum, dad, brothers and doggie. Wouldn't wish for another family, not for all the diamonds in the world.
6) I'm thankful for my bloggie. I love you bloggie!
7) I'm thankful for my friends, all you great people out there who're so bizarre and crazy I don't feel so martian-like anymore.
8) I'm thankful for my to-be christmas tree. My mum agreed to buy a new one this year!!
9) I'm thankful for clay :D you wouldn't guess how much he's done for me, this guy.
10) I'M THANKFUL FOR ALL THE CHRISTMAS SONGS IN THE WORLD.
11) AND CANDYCANES.
12) And I'm thankful for God and my new Bible. (I love my new Bible it's so cool! :D)

I'm sure there's alot more that I haven't thanked for, but I don't feel like staring at this window any longer! So 'ta, and an extremely belated: happy Thanksgiving!

2:38 PM

These 3 days I haven't been going to work with mel (aww), instead I've gone for an attachment at thomson medical clinic, paediatric centre! With jieshi :D

It's been really cool, and quite an eye opener i guess.

The first day I got lost trying to find the place, because I went out of the wrong mrt exit. -.- The signs are so misleading! Arrived at the mrt station with 1/2hour to spare, but found the centre 15 minutes late. Kind of a blessing in disguise, I think, because the early birds got scolded by dr ang for not wearing school u o.O Stupid ivestay didn't tell us we were supposed to wear school u, so we didn't. Not our fault.

Since we didn't wear school u, dr ang refused to let us sit in in her office, so we spent the time filing case notes of patients. We were allowed in dr keoy's office for an hour though . We watched him diagnose the babies and stuff like that, quite cool, the job. You get to play with the baby! :D And no jess I'm not a paedophile.

Anyway the main illnesses for the tiny newborns were like jaundice or flu (flu season!). Oh and a baby got hernia of the umbilical cord. I got that when I was a baby too! It's so gross, the belly button swells and sticks out like 4cm ><

At about 4pm dr ang finally decided to let us go with her along her trips to the wards. First we went into this.. place to look at the newborn babies. There were only 2 newborns, born 1 and a half hours ago only so they still had blood on them. Dr ang then checked them for defects (haha like motor parts). Then we visited the patients. So poor thing, all of them were on IV drips, so they had to have their hands bound to the IV machine. And the babies had to have both hands bound so they don't unplug th machine.

The paediatric centre is like divided into two parts, one whole huge office for dr ang, and another only slightly bigger office for another 2-3 doctors. Jieshi and I were really mean, we 'volunteered' to work in dr ang's office for all three days. Because her office is usually less crowded, and the staff there're more friendly. Haha.

Also, the staff at dr ang's office aren't so worried about letting you do the job (lazy staff :D), in the bigger office all they allow you to do is to file case notes. At our side, we get to talk to the parents and ask them what's wrong with the kid, find their case note, register them, give them a queue number, take their weight/height/head circumference and write it into their case notes. So cool right! Yes.

Oh and they have really nice biscuits. And sweets. :D

The second day. Weekdays are super slack! Spent it filing case notes leisurely, folding appointment cards, stamping '4th level' on cheques and crapping with rachel (who's super pretty, and pregnant, and like a little kid herself).

Dr ang wasn't in, dr oh took over her. She's alot younger, and not cranky at all! Haha. Which was lucky, because um she kept catching me and jess at the wrong moments. Like when I tipped over this box of appointment cards, and they flooded the table and the floor.

When it was jess and my turn to sit in dr oh's office, it was this little boy's turn. He's so funny! He refused to go into the room, because he wanted to watch batman on TV outside. But when dona flourished some biscuits he immediately stopped crying and demanded for them, haha. While his mum was talking to the doctor he came over to talk to me and jess :D

boy: why are you sitting here?
us: oh to look at you!
boy: DON'T LOOK AT ME!

Then jess started playing peekaboo with him ^^ Then he went to dona and asked her for two biscuits, to give me and jess! So cute. After playing with us a while he went back to dona to ask her for sweets for us.

boy: two more sweets for the jie jies!
dona: why?
boy: because they only got 2 biscuits, they don't have two sweets!

And he really gave us the sweets and made us open and eat the sweets in front of him. Afterwards when it was time to leave, he refused to because he wanted more sweets :D About 10 minutes later he barged in again, made a big fuss and got his sweet, lol.

After lunch the number of patients went down, so all six of us helped shred receipts with the shredder. The shredder is so cool, it's like a huge garbage monster which chomps down everything you throw in.

Oh and jess and I saw some packets of formula baby food! And dona let me take home one to try :D It was this yellow paste-y thing that's supposed to be grounded rice and fruits and weird nutrition stuff, which tasted quite. Okay, I guess. Other than the fact that its mushy.

Today was only half day, but it was the busiest day of the 3 because it was saturday. Quite fun, actually! We also got to find medicine and pour medicine, (and steal their cookies moo ha ha jess and I finished half the bottle).

And there was this other cute boy today! His mum was very young and cheeky. She kept stealing biscuits (my biscuits!) and pretending they were for her boy. She almost stole the whole bottle, until dona told her dr ang's office had a bigger bottle and she decided it was more worth stealing :D

Okay don't feel like blogging anymore. 'Night.

PROM!

Haha prom was quite cool. No one recognised me cos I wore contacts and changed my fringe parting! :D It was really funny to see everyone's reactions when they finally did.

Anyway! In the morning (like, 7am) I had to go to school to meet the art people to set up some stupid art exhibition thingy. Yen, shuhan and me spent the entire morning setting up our bugs at bishan library again, then we went to macs with xinlei queenie to eat breakfast. Yen is like, so crazy? She spent the whole time counting her calories and sodium and fat intake -.-

Went with xinlei to stone in orchard library while waiting for wai. Then went with wai to her dress shop to steam iron her dress, then conveniently asked them to help me steam iron mine too :D We were an hour too early for hotel check in, so we walked all the way from heerens to orchard hotel.

The hotel room was SO tiny please! And it was supposed to be executive club, they cheated us ): Wai and I spent a few hours watching kids central while waiting for the others to come.

We only started dressing up at 5pm, haha. Decided to brave the contacts again, since my supportive yearmates agreed to help me put them on. Tried yen's contacts, but they refused to stick to my eyeballs! I was poking and poking and it refused to come off my finger ): And it tore. Then I tried wai's, same thing happened, so nice hung agreed to put them on for me! Yeah it went super smoothly, hung was so cool and collected ^^ And it felt much better than my first time! Anyway yeah everyone looked pretty! And shuhan had cool medusa looking hair, and yen looked like an elf.

Went down stairs at the right time and stoned outside the ballroom giving everyone shocks. We were assigned tables, but just sat any old how. I sat with my darling shuks! And rhea and xianying and shee and mel. Shuks and I wore our couple rings! Xianying was soooo jealous :D

Main points of the dinner:

1) The Elvis agogos! GE IS SO DAMN GOOD. :D I didn't know she could sing like that! And dawn the agogo girl was so cute.
2) The food tasted quite bad.
3) Marese our miss FAM! She should have won something okay, she was so good. ): And we were such loyal fans of hers. Oh and angel was funny too! :D
4) Rhea wanted to take photos with the teachers, so we went to find them. We found doreentan and jtoh, and jtoh only realised it was me like 5 mins after talking to us and was like, ohmygod! It was so hilarious.
5) Snowman wore a dress! Nat wore a tube dress! The same nat who refused to look at anything that wasn't with sleeves and turtle-necked when we went prom shopping with her. HAHA.
6) Our class was a super lucky class, two people (agri and anyi) won prizes in the lucky draw! Lucky people. Shuks was saying she would definitely win something, but obviously she didn't, haha.
7) At the end snowman and giraffe started cheering raffles cheers, which started off the whole school. Which was so funny, because we were all dressed like, like ladies and stuff but then we started cheering like barbarians and I think the hotel staff were rather shocked.
8) Because my dress trailed, PEOPLE KEPT STEPPING ON IT. Had to hold it up all the time, and I kept tripping over it. So unglam ):

Afterwards met yearmates and we all went walking in our dresses! And high heels which were excruciatingly painful, I think I sprained some part of my foot from walking in it. ><><) and to rest our poor feet.

Returned to the hotel room at about 1.30am, and started playing bridge. Me, wai and jess taught luvy dawn and yen how to play. THEY ARE HILARIOUS. I and jess couldn't stop laughing. Dawn and yen kept ending up as partners and killing each other or committing suicide! Especially dawn, who threw out queens when the kings and aces weren't out yet, and wasted her trump cards when her partner could have won the set.

Oh yeah and xue helped me take off my contacts! She was VERY fast. Which made the whole process alot better, because this time it felt as if xue was trying to gouge my eyes out.

All of us, except dawn shee and luvy, fell asleep at around 4am. I couldn't wake up the next morning, kept falling back to sleep and waking up whenever yearmates mentioned my name.

Rach dawn shuhan and I went to coffeebean to eat breakfast after we checked out. And there we met chrisslatter and tinachung! Chrisslatter offered us coffee but we rejected because we were too full ):

Went home, fell asleep, woke up and found out I was supposed to be at bishan library for the opening of the art exhibition at 6pm when it was already 5.57pm. Rushed out in record time (just to find out I forgot to bring my tie, had to rush back) and reached there a little after the opening ceremony started. My fingernails were still painted from yesterday, so I was attempting vainly to hide them ): Hung around with the rj girls, they're a cracked-up bunch (like us!).

And yeah now I'm back! Very tired, and there's still work tomorrow ):

1:12 PM

HI I haven't been blogging for quite a while :D

Anyway! Recently mel, becca, dinky and me have found a job! Its indexing, some data entry keying job where we document old newspaper articles for mindef or something. Because we earn by how many indexes we manage to type in for that day, mel and I have been competing furiously to see who can type the most for the day! So far I've won her 3 times, she's only won me once :D but twice I only won her by abit. We earned alot of money! Typed super fast, like on saturday we keyed in 4000 indexes for the day, which was like (only) 6 bucks per hour. It's fun though! You can go on automatic mode while typing, and you get to read the newspaper aticle headlines. Now I know allllllllll about the thai, US, japan and australian politics since 1985!

Have also been going out alot with mel dear. Like, every day, just to get prom stuff, mainly hers (mine is like practically all borrowed :D).

Yesterday after work I went to mel's house, together with agri, teri, ode and xiaolu. We watched My Fair Lady! It was quite cool, cos they spoke funny old English! I like old English, I wish we still spoke like that. HAHA.

Then went to school to meet shuhan so we can paint our cubes white again, and watch the junior's tc concert. Haha so long haven't seen my yearmates and the juniors, already. ): (I MISS TC) yearmates all sat at the track to sing songs! So nostalgic ):

Went back to mel's house (it was so ulu-ated and scary). Then we stoned abit waiting for mabel to come, then we played dress up! Agri and anyi brought their prom dresses along, so agri anyi and mel tried on their prom dresses and got our opinions.

Oh and anyi brought her daily contacts for me to try. Like ohmyGOD I am so not going to try them on ever again. Certainly not for prom, I'd rather go there half-blind. Took 1/2 hour trying to stuff them into my eyes, 'cause I think they're a little small so the contacts refused to go in. When I wore the contacts my vision kept blurring out, and I could feel the stuff stuck on my eyeballs, it was quite weird. Cool also, la. But I couldn't get them off afterwards! My fingers were a little large, and also my nails were super long so I didn't dare pinch too hard in case I scratched my cornea. So anyi had to pull them off for me. We spent more than 1/2 hour trying to get them off, it was so horrible. Somehow they were extremely slippery, so anyi's grab hold of them and lift them out abit, then they'll slip back on my eye. And everytime anyi grabbed them, it felt as if she was sucking my corneas off ):

Other than that, it was fun! I tried on mel's prostitute prom dress, and I looked better than her okay. (ehehe) And mabel tried anyi's. She isn't going for prom ): So we pretended that it was her prom and dressed her up that night, haha.

We slept at 5am, I think? Were so tired mel and I overslept and decided not to go for work the next day. Watched the Blair Witch Project instead. Oh man we felt so cheated. It's about this video footage that was found one year after the disappearance of 3 people who went into the forest to document the blair witch myth. At first we really thought it was a real footage, 'cause the acting was so real and everything. And we were so freaked out. Then we found out it was a fake real footage. -.-

Afterwards we went to Little India for anyi and mel to do their hennas, then I accompanied mel to Bugis to find her prom stuff.

And now I'm home! Super tired. And not ready for tomorrow. So I shall stop here. Bye!

9:11 AM

Ahaha went out with mel and puehleng yesterday to supposedly get alll our stuff for prom, but ended up with nothing more than the little insignificant stuffs. We still haven't gotten our heels! Our clutches! Nothing! ):

Anyway yesterday was super tiring, we walked the whole of bugis, orchard, somerset and by the time we ended up at plaza sing I and mel (pl left at taka) had feet and hips that were aching so bad we couldn't be bothered to explore ps.

But it was an interesting day! We found out that nice, cheap strappies have long become extinct, and shoe shops have been totally taken over by ugly looking peep-toed pumps. Frilly lacy plasticky disgusting looking ones, most of them, and the nice ones cost a bomb! Plus I can't wear them with my gown anyway, I need those extinct strappieeeees. ):

When we were tired we decided to sit down at taka macs, and mel and I went to order fries. It was so funny.

mel: Can we have currysaucebbqsauceandchillisauce please--
me: -- thankyou!
us: *bright smile*
macs guy: *blink*... er ketchup?

Blah I'm rather bored now. Been cooped up in my room reading a book and snacking since I woke up (going to grow fat! Can't fit into my dress! AHH). But it's a change from the past few days since end of Os! Had been out every single day still at least 6, roaming round the streets of s'pore and my feet really ache.

Christmas is coooming! Mel and I were singing christmas carols loudly yesterday, much to the embarrassment of pl and ourselves. But its so like christmas already! :D But something needs to be done about the decor of orchard road, it looks like a horrible imitation scene out of a cheap flick about the Orchard Roads of Arabia. Even at night.

DECK THE HALLS WITH BOUGHS OF HOLLY FA LA LA LA LA, LA LA LA LA!

3:59 PM

Oh and a few things I've left out:

1) Class party soon! AT leetien's house again.
2) Prom is 16th Nov. Hotel with yearmates! YAY.
3) JC combi: bio chem math econs. Didn't choose art, because somehow I got tired of its tediousness and I know I won't want to pursue fine arts in future, anyway. Will probably take H3 chem, since its pharm chem and I might want to do biochem/ medical science in future (:
4) Will be joining recreational badminton with LOADS of yearmates next year! Haha. More yearmates, JOIN OKAY.
5) My kor will be off to NS next year 13th jan. Will miss him so very badly, 'cause he won't be coming home for 2-3 months at the start. Though no one's supposed to tell him because it'll just get his big fat ego up.

Aaand I think that's all. Bye!

2:43 PM

I took a look at one of our 401 class pictures and am feeling rather sad now. ):

Okay actually the fact that we've graduated haven't really settled in yet; I'm still thinking that my november-december holidays will be bogged down every day by red cross, red cross trainings, red cross training camp, red cross talentime. That next year we'd still be returning to the same small, cosy, homely green and white and other-weird-coloured school, with its tiny field, birdpoop-filled canteen and small track so very nice to lie down and watch the stars from.

Perhaps it'll never really hit me, just as how passing out from red cross hasn't ever. The feeling's just so different from what you'd expect. It's not like the end of the world's come, or that your journey with it has stopped. All there is is this daze, and this feeling of eternity that still goes on forever, although not in reality but still somewhere deep down in the unconscious that has been inertially stuck in this routine too long. Or, I guess you can think of it as 'having taken it for granted you think it'll last forever'.

Anyway there's just so much to talk about that I haven't etched down for memory.

Sec4 World Cup. I didn't play, sarah couldn't make me because I stood and still stand by my opinion that soccer is only good to watch and not to play, especially if the ball likes the soles of your feet a little too much. So miss sarah kindly sabo-ed me into becoming the score-writer. I kind of screwed up being the score-writer, haha? I kept writing the wrong scores and points down, and classes kept coming up to me to demand why the scores were such-and-such when they were sure it was this-and-that. Thank goodness no one stoned me. But yay 402 won the World Cup, and being friendly neighbours (the joint cooperation in running our gambling den! :D) of course we supported them 100%!

Class lunch! It was raining, so I and rhea decided to walk in the rain since there weren't really many umbrellas. Went to plaza sing for cafe cartel, but found it full because it was lunch hour. After wandering about aimlessly for really long, we finally decided on pizza hut. Sat with sihui, anyi, yannie, carmen and agri. We reached there at about 1pm, but we found out that they had $2 discounts and student meal offers only at 1.30pm, so we stoned and played silly games there for 1/2hour. We played Indian Poker! So funny. The other table attempted bridge, but were so glaringly obvious (the manager kept staring at our balantly flourished poker cards) that they stopped. Oh but pizza hut was nice.

Friday. Farewell assembly. The real thing, surprisingly, was not boring (unlike all those lame rehearsals-- how much practice does one need to go up on stage and shake hands?). I kind of spent the whole thing looking reminiscently at everyone, cheering over-enthusiastically for yearmates with my yearmates, and basically taking in everything before it faded away. And I managed to sing the school song! I rarely ever do, not because I don't want to but because it's so bloody high. Just because we're girls doesn't mean we all have voice ranges so high, alright. Why can't they lower it just one key down, so half the school population can sing?

Oh and our graduation song, which was suprise suprise, Graduation. Okay it was cliched and overused, but yeah it sort of described everything so adequately.

I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound.

Ahh I really wish time could be stopped whenever we wished, and only at certain times and places. Then we could live in bliss for ever! How nice.

Class party! Watched a few class videos, then leetien and yang came in to unwrap their presents (which carmen and sarah had kindly wrapped in newspaper). Carmen was horror. She wrapped yang's present in like, 10384857082283 layers of newspapers, which he spent at least 15 minutes unwrapping (she said she had been watching grey's anatomy while wrapping). We bought leetien a pregnancy kit because she told us she still wanted children, and diapers! And yang's was Gatsby hair gel and diapers too :D

Then we had clean up, which was more phototaking session than clean up session, but yeah it went fine.

Phew I didn't do as badly as I thought I would, my GPA. It's still painful to think about how much higher it'd have been if not for chem SPA (20% and I failed it ><) and Art which I missed 4.0 by a mere 1%. But I'm satisfied, nevertheless. Just have to work as hard as my kor next year. :
When school ended, mel (who was coming over for sleepover),nat and I wandered about school, just to spend a little more time in it. And I missed the red cross room! And the juniors in it. Got a little moody about redcross the whole day, which I think got to mel a little, haha.

Mel went home with me lugging boxes of her stuff, which made us look a little like retrenched workers. We played 2-people daidi (scores 34-14) and stoned for quite a long time, till becca and anyi and mabel came. Becca and mabel had some incident with some stupid consters, and we spent some time trying to resolve it (though we didn't really).

The day was spent lavishing attention on my doggy and playing bridge and daidi and cheat. At night we went downstairs to sit by the pools, and they got fascinated with the jacuzzi in the middle of the pool so we went into it, trying not to get our shorts wet and ducking down whenever we thought a security guard was coming. Then we sat with our legs in the baby pool and played "Never have I ever", which failed miserably because 1) We've done all sorts of stupid things 2) Things you haven't done, like clubbing and smoking and stuff, everyone else hasn't as well -.- so we played "Have you ever" instead.

Then we told ghost stories! Super freaky, becca and mabel refused to listen and kept their ears shut. Then becca went home to sleep, and me mel anyi and mabel went back to my room to tell more ghost stories, sick jokes and the sorts. Mom found it extremely funny terrifying anyi by creaking open the door to make it seem as if a ghost was entering.

The next day mel and I went job hunting! Gosh how tiring. We went starbucks, borders (age limt 18 )):), HMV (18 ):), pastamania, tcc (17 ):) and spinelli. Don't think we'll get in for any of the 3, though :\ they want long term commitment, not just holiday work.

Today I was supposed to go to dawn's church with jess and hung, but jess hurt her back (because she used her com too long, according to dawn), so hung didn't want to go, and I went alone ): As usual I got lost. But it's dawn's fault! Mostly :D She, her sis and her brother had to pick me up at my wrong bus stop and we got off at the church. Anyway dawn's brother has a cool car! And I think it's so cool to have your brother ferrying you around everywhere, can't wait for my kor to get his so I can bully him into ferrying me around everywhere ^^.

After service I went to dawn's house, where we watched part of the Stepford wives, then I taught her bridge, and we played daidi and speed. Got bored after a while so we went upstairs to watch miss swan and ouran high school host club, haha.

Tomorrow I'll be going prom shopping with becca, rhea and mel! How cool. Oh that reminds me, I got a prom dress! It's borrowed from my kor's friend, he apparently mentioned that I needed a dress for prom and she kindly offered hers. Yay! It's really nice, and I hope not too over-the-top. It's definitely is not retro. It's actually a full-length gown, mauve in colour, is flowy chiffon and has this triangle piece of chiffon attached at the back to make the gown flow out at the bottom, a little like a wedding gown. But yeah it's pretty and it's free, so why not? :D

This entry is super long, since I haven't been faithfully blogging every day. Instead I've been spending my time reading books (get rid of the chinese horror!) and the Bible, since the only Bible stuff I've ever read was my children's Bible. It's actually rather interesting, and oh, so scandalous! You don't get to read all those stuff about the gay city of Sodom and incest in the children's Bible, it's quite scandalising to realise there was such stuff in there haha.

Okayy finished. Bye!
